Q2 how does your media product represent particular social groups?
The people I am targeting are hard to pinpoint as they do not fit into 1 social group they are all similar but not the same and do not come under a name like goths, emos and chavs. Demographically the people I am targeting are between the ages of 17 to late 20’s also it is mainly a male audience but as you can see by the images it is also including females. The people will most properly come from urban working class areas and neighbourhoods also they be drawn into drug culture people from the areas I am talking about can also be drug uses or sellers on the fringes of society, and come under the social status classes of C1, C2 and D. another thing you notice is that the people who listen and create the music my magazine is about are rebelling against mainstream culture and society they don’t like the norm and being like everyone else they like the individuality they create. The images and models I have used are both connoting that it is about the music and not the appearance of the person they are not worried what they look like they are worried about how they represent the music, the Dj in the other image also does this the way she is slightly leaned over the Dj decks shows that even though they are taking a picture she isn’t worried about that she is worried about continuing to do her music.
