Q3) what kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

As my magazine is for a niche market using a big company such as IPC would benefit my magazine because I would be able to get my magazine out to people a lot easier and cover more ground in a shorter time, plus also they will be able to cover me when I first start up and I’m losing money, but on the down side I will lose most editorial control of my magazine so therefore they may try to make my magazine more mainstream and try to change it to some glossy magazine and take away the actual reason it’s made for the music. If I decide to distribute the magazine myself it means I will have full editorial control which means I will be able to keep it focused on my target and keep it about the music and not the image of the magazine, but a down side is I may not be able to afford to publish it, I may not be able to get it to shops to be distributed and I may not be able to fund the magazine at all. Overall considering all these point I have decided to go for a small to medium distributer this means they will be able to offer me some support, in finance, distribution and production but I still hold most editorial rights so that I can keep my magazine about the music and for my specific audience.
