Q7Looking back at your preliminary task (the college magazine task), what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?
At the beginning of my coursework once I started m preliminary task I realised I didn’t have a clue how to use Photoshop, but as time went on through the course I have developed a lot of good skills with Photoshop including how to cut an image out, change the page size, alter the contrast of a picture and use rulers to align my work in a professional way. If you look at my preliminary task college front cover you can see that I obviously wasn’t that good at laying things out professionally so that they look nice and still do what they are meant for, if you look you will see that my college magazine front cover has a lot of blank space and just seems to be all over the place and not well produced but if you compare it with my music magazine front cover you can see a major difference straight away, there is not much blank space the main image is better quality and connects to the purpose better, the fonts I have used connect well with the music genre and the colours I have used also connect. And my college magazine contents page is very basic and plain I have used 2 images that don’t really correspond and the page numbers and contents fill the whole page, compare this to my music magazine contents and again you can see a dramatic difference there’s are better images , its more professionally laid out, the colours I used connect to the front cover and the rest of the magazine and I have included all the necessary things I need.
